Thanks to all who sent me info in regards to my daughter's request to select a unique cafe with urban atmosphere. I now have a nice list of interesting places to try...thanks again. Shannon ended up choosing Julia's in Wallingford......an area she has just resently discovered driving around in her mother's '62 vw bug. The whole family had a great time....although Thursday at 5:30 isn't exatly the right time of week for street action & people watching. Everyone thought the service and atmosphere was just right. I was disappointed there was no salmon dish without a sauce....I got the Terriyaki salmon & as I was afraid, the terriyaki overpowered any salmon flavor but salads, bread etc was nice. The waitress recovered from an error in my order in a very pleasant way and made nice banter with Shannon about her birthday, astrology & other conversation that was very natural. So thanks again. Shannon & I had fun checking out several suggestions on various web sites and reviewing your recommendations.....& she was not the least disappointed in the results. Gary
