Nope; the Fortune famous for its dim sum is on Rt. 7 in Baileys Crossroads.

There's China Inn in Chinatown and then there's everyone else. Just inside the arches on the left. Good luck finding parking! Fab dim sum, though...best sticky rice on the East Coast!

As is its sister restaurant Fortune in North Point Plaza in Reston. Completely authentic and an incredible repertoire. We've eaten there probably 20 times and every single time they have brought out something that we have never seen before.

Fortune is on Route 7 in the Bailey's Crossroads section of Fairfax County, Virginia (just over the county line from Arlington). The address is 5900 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church. Phone (703) 998-8888.

Also, with the opening of the MCI Center in DC, there is increased availability of dim sum in DC's Chinatown. Let me suggest Golden Palace, Tony Cheng's Seafood restaurant (upstairs), and the new Charlie Chiang's Grande Cafe (buffet style, rather than carts). Of these, Golden Palace seems to have the greatest variety and best quality. Getting a table on Sunday can take 10-15 minutes, though, so be flexible.

(HEY! I just noticed you're from CMU in Pittsburgh. How yunz doin'?)
