There are scant few "diners" here compared with NE PA or NJ where every town has its own (at least one) diner. The Amphora in Vienna gives the appearance of being a diner (cheap stone veneer, presumably greek management, ...) but the food is terrible (and they keep asking me what kind of dressing I want on my greek salad) and the service is uniformly awful. Amphora's new stainless steel and neon monstrosity in Herndon is equally awful. Tastee Diner is passable, but really tiny (and the last time I was there they served us burgers on moldy rolls). There's one passable one over by Marymount University (I think called the Metro Diner).
