-> Come on out to Annapolis and try Damon's - its well worth the trip.
-> Sweeter sauce than RHB. and not a chain too.

Damon's is my favorite for ribs in this area also. Their sauce is
almost as good as Tony Roma's. Damon's does not have pulled pork or the great beans, potato salad or cole slaw or a number of other things that RHB has however.
And by the way , the RHB on RT50 does not seem to have enough
business to serve fresh meat. I have been disappointed every time that I have been in that just east of Annapolis.

Those are the kinds of places where you get the best BBQ!

It sounds reminiscent of the Dixie Pig which used to be in Odenten MD, and served the best ribs I'd ever tasted! It was run by an old black guy from the Deep South who lived in a shack surrounded by a virtual junkyard of wooden pallets, and spent his whole life smoking ribs there.

The ceiling was so low, that you couldn't even stand up straight in the place! He had picnic tables outside under a pavillion for the dining. The neighbors kept trying to get the place condemned but never succeeded. Unfortunately the old man died, and that was the end of the Dixie Pig! I heard his son tried to move it to a strip shopping center, but it was never the same!

Does anyone else remember the Dixie Pig?
