A new restaurant opened recently in Fairfax, the "Viet Thai". I've eaten there twice and like it.

Menu has both a large Vietnamese section and a smaller Thai section. We have stuck mainly to the Vietnamese section. The food is spicy and flavorful but not "Thai" hot. (I do love Thai hot food.)

Several Bean Curd hotpots were excellent (my favorite is the one with lemon grass and chili.

They have a duck dish with a small amount of duck and lots of excellent vegetables. Good sauce. I ordered it a second time.

Both fresh and fried spring rolls. In both (pork & shrimp) and vegetarian. I didn't like the fried ones but did like the fresh (unfried veg rolls).

Volcano Chicken off the Thai section was quite good.

The menu has lots of meat, appetizers, salads, soups, etc. I just haven't tried them. Having eaten there twice, I expect to return.

Viet Thai is located at 10826 Lee Highway in Fairfax. This is on the piece of 29 and 50 that are one road. Just east of the intersection with 236, where 29 and 50 diverge. phone 703 359-4433.
