OUr experience has been that ou need to leave DC proper and get out to Baily's Crossroads. The is a big place called Fortune that we thought excellent. It has been two years though and perhaps there is a new claimant to the title of Best in (greater) DC. If so I would welcome the information as I will be there in a month myself.

Besides Fortune (which is great), try Orient East on East-West Highway in Silver Spring, MD.

Try Hunan Number One, 3033 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA. (703) 528-1177/528-1178. Near the Clarendon Metro Station on the Orange Line. I liked it enough that I've got their card pinned to my office bulletin board.
