Market Inn is a throwback to the old Washington political world of quiet meetings in out of the way little places where major players could get drunk and make deals. I used to work right next door (House Annex II) and we'd eat there often for a pretty good meal and a funky environment. I remember one time during the Monica trial about five of the "hardcore" GOP members from the Judiciary committee were having a private lunch (well, a table away) discussing the hearings. It was pretty cool.

It's the kind of place that a lot of high level Hill types escape to when they need to have a semi-private lunch meeting to discuss a new job, sensitive politics, or just get away from the youngsters and media.

Worth visiting for the atmosphere (one room filled with plane pictures, one room filled with pictures of naked women).
