I am yet another person who had an awful time at my one and only trip to Galileo's. It was my birthday, too, and I was REALLY disappointed. The food was ordinary, the service sniffingly condescending, the atmosphere grim at best. And the price -- whoa baby! I don't mind paying through the nose for good food, but I've had better meals at the California Pizza Kitchen. (I'm not kidding) My number 1 Italian restaurant in the area is Obelisk (with I Ricchi second). Teresa

After speaking with the chef, he agreed that the portion was too large, and yet the mussels nearly filled each shell. Combined with Uptown bread to soak up the juice, this was an entire meal! I expect it won't last long. While my friends like to buy the entrees, I think it's most fun to buy several tapas and a variety of wines. The cornmeal dusted oysters are great. Fricassee Of Wild Mushrooms Over Truffled Polenta is also a favorite. A slightly dated menu is online at http://www.grapeseedbistro.com/menu.html
