Here is what I have come up with from my time around GWU. Understand that just as there are many recipies for tiramisu there is also a LOT of chefs out there making "different types" Let me start with the college budgets ... I THINK these people use a light whipped cream instead of Mascarpone, but it might be a freshly made Mascarpone that I have never tasted before. Needless to say, Bertuccis, right on GWU campus *tower records building* serves a nice tiramisu. Certainly worth it. In watergate there is a pastry shop Vi-something :) that has slices of FABULOUS Tiramisu for about $2.50. Not that this is a light tiramisu and the taste REALLY sneaks up on you :) GeorgeTown offers alot of varieties in Tiramisu. there is a dessert shop *I think its called the dessert shop* right on M that makes a nice Tirimasu. *tries to remeber* If your in Orlando, FL, I must tell you that to date the BEST Tirimasu I have ever had *this is saying alot after trying hundreds IMHO* is in the Hyatt Regency at the Airport. Place called Hemispheres. Get the Cappicinno too. Its a BOWL of Cap, and a HUGE plate of WONDERFUL Tirimasu, lightly sprinkled in dutch chocolate. *had to put that in there* Anyway, enjoy the hunt!

In search of Tiramisu
Believe it or not, Pizzeria Paradiso in DuPont Circle has a wonderful tiramisu. The only problem is saving enough room.
Believe it or not, Pizzeria Paradiso in DuPont Circle has a wonderful tiramisu. The only problem is saving enough room. And, across P street from there, Pesce also has very good tiramisu. Had some last night. Went with Asparagus and Shrimp Soup w/ Lobster Cakes, Tuna Tartar with Seaweed Salad and Softshell Crabs served over Corn Custard with Tomatoes, Onions and Virgina Country Ham. Yummy. As usual, the problem is getting a table. Got there at 7:15 and still had to wait for a table for two. The no reservations policy at both Pesce and Pizzeria Paradiso is a drag. Larry
The Italian Cafe, in Falls Church, VA has fantastic tiramisu. Lately, the owner's wife has been supplying it, and it is great. We ate there last night and took advantage of the tiramisu for dessert. The phone number is (703) 241-1829. It is located on Route 29, just south of Rte 7. Enjoy.
As for yummy tiramisu, I would suggest Dolce Finale, located at the Woodley Park Metro. It's a converted wine cellar located under a restaurant called Petitos. I would NOT recommend Petitos for dinner because it is overpriced and the food is not that good. But Dolce Fibnale has excellent desserts -- be prepared to possibly wait on a Friday or Saturday night, especially after 8 p.m. Enjoy!!
