We had a wonderful brunch at Gabriel's Sunday. This is the third time I have eaten there and each time it has been exceptionally good. Incredible brunch at the unusual price of $16.75 per person. Which includes drinks. But the star of the show is the tapas!! A typical but tasty "breakfast" type table with eggs, bacon, sausage - the usual One long table with all the tapas goodies. Half of which I don't recognize but all tasty and fabulous suckling pig and roast beef. The service is without flaw even tho they were busy. We showed up without reservations but were seated at very roomy table for two. Lots of elbow room. Gabriel's is at 2121 P Street NW and is part of the Barcelo Hotel. This is important because the Hotel offers valet parking in a very expensive area of town to park in. The lot across the street is a fortune and street parking is non-existant. Anyway, the phone number is 202-956-6690 I brought some matches home so I would have the information for everyone. Highly recommend this place for any meal but especially brunch.And after you have eaten you can go around the corner to Henri Gallery. We did and bought two pieces of art! Regards, Terry
