Does anyone remember this article and possibly the name of the place? I think it's probably Coventry Cross on Conn Ave in Chevy Chase, MD. I was there about 3 months ago and it was OK... I'd be interested in your reaction.
Washington, DC
English Pub

Last time I was there they had Oxford Class Ale and Young's Special London Ale on draught. Cheers, Rick

I went there shortly after the review in the Washington Post Magazine. Overall, my reaction was not positive. The live music was too loud. It made conversation in the bar portion of the place very difficult and it gave me a bit of a headache. They ran out of the best beer they had on tap (I think it was Oxford) so we had to make do with Bass, American stuff, and bottles. And the place is too bright. They have more light fixtures in there than I ever expected to find in a place that's billed as an English pub. These are all things that can be easily fixed but I just haven't had the urge to try them again. Jan
