We have done take-out from there several times and always found the food (e.g. good hot fish curry) to be very good. The problems last time were (1) they overcharged us and when we called them shortly after the pickup they gave my wife a hard time but agreed to give back the difference (a couple of bucks). When she went there the next day to get it they were again very rude and insulting; she did get the money but has no inclination to go there again. (2) on the same order, their "four piece" chicken dish consisted of two wings cut in half !( Still, the food is quite good. Try it for yourself.

My favorite is the okra curry. Unlike some restaurants, these folks prepare vegetables such that you can identify shape and texture and not just general color of the uncooked food. Friday I tried the aloo paratha (potato-filled bread) and highly recommend it. My wife likes the fish curry very much. For unknown reasons, the fellow behind the counter has always be cordial to us. A relatively new restaurant on 8th SE is Heart & Soul (where the short-lived Pasta Garden was). Very good food (at least the greens and fish). A carniverous friend vouches says the chicken livers are terrific. Service was slightly slow, but the quality of the meal more than made up for it. -Tom, a heterodox vegetarian in the last colony
