He has a few options (not lots, but a few). The Brickskeller, on 22 & P in Dupont Circle, has several hundred (400-500) bottles, but isn't a brewpub. Since it also isn't cheap, it's a better place to go if you really want to taste a certain beer, rather than drinking a lot. If he's willing to go into Arlington, AMDO Rodeo, on about 2500 block of Wilson Blvd., has over 20 good micros on tap. Finally, a few of the Irish pubs have good stouts and others on tap -- Four Provinces and Murphy's in Cleveland Park and Woodley Park, The Dubliner and The Irish Times by Union Station. Oh, also, there's Union Street Pub in Old Town, Alexandria, which has about 6 on tap, $3 for a pint.

Hope this leads to some happy imbibing.
