Truly fine dinning in Bethesda?

By that criterion I have'nt found any. But
here are a couple that are veery good.

Targara Classicc italian dining. Tends to expensdive. but the food is verygg good.
Volare-- A recent discovery. Moderately priced. Food is also very good.

Don't forget Buon Giorno.
Personally, we think it's better than Tragara, not as noisy and a much smaller more personalized atmosphere. Have never had a bad dish there.

Since folks are recommending Italian restaurants in Bethesda, I'll put in my $.02 worth.

When I lived down there several years ago, I went often to the Pines of Rome. The atmosphere was pretty much non-existant, but the food was good and wholesome, the portions were large, and the prices were very good. I haven't been there in probably three years, but I still miss their white pizza with fontina!

Regards,
Alan
