That's easy, go to Primo's. On the end of the shopping center (Belle Haven, I think). Good Italian and Greek food, family atmosphere. Inexpensive and friendly. Nothing fancy, but basic and good food. My very first gyro was from Primo's, I've been hooked since.

Katie,
Try the Lebanese Taverna in the Congressional shopping center on Rockville Pike. There may be better in the area, but I haven't found it or them so far.

Up in the Germantown area, check out the Caspian Cafe, which is on Rt. 355 between 118 and Muddlebrook Rd., on the right if your heading South. They have some very good "Persian" style meals.

At both of these places, it's best to arrive well before Noon, if you can. They're good, so they do get crowded...

In Gburg, there is the Moby Dick place over in the Kentlands kinda downtown thingy, but it pales in comparison to the other two places, imo.

I'll third the vote for Primo. I haven't had the gyros yet but I've eaten there 3 or 4 times and enjoyed it every time. Judging by all the cars parked around the store, that place gets filled up even on weeknights. Don't be scared by a line though. One night there was a line and it went very quickly. Also it's very baby friendly, but don't expect four star service.
