I ate in La Yaca two weeks ago and had the house speciality which is Lamb roasted over a wood fire. It was good but not as good as the first time I had it. Also had the snail appetizer. I like this restaurant. It has an interesting pricing scheme. They have menus that are priced upward. Starting with the least expensive which includes the soup of the day, an entree, and dessert and works their way up to a multi course extravaganza. The food is French the service is very good, well timed and they celebrate their 15th anniversary this coming December.

La Yaca is French...they do wonderful scallop dishes.

Victoria's Fire...I'm always partial to their seafood pasta dishes and dessert.

Indian Fields....its been a while, but I have fond memories of crabcakes with Smithfield ham.

Speaking of Smithfield ham, another restaurant in Williamsburg area is The Old Chickahominy House located on Jamestown Road. They serve 'Southern Food', i.e. Smithfield ham biscuits, brunswick stew (an incredible version), yummy homemade pies. It is in an old house with lots of antiques and crafts.
