I always liked Bove's too (good and cheap), and had a fondness for Zachary's Pizza.

Some of my other favorite places are/were Sneakers and Henry's Diner for breakfast, and Waterworks in the Champlain Mill in Winooski. Also, there were a couple of good Chinese restaurants, one downtown, and one other very close to the Champlain Mill.

You are hereby duly forewarned: the red garlic sauce will leave you smelling like you ate a million cloves of garlic! I do not recommend it and would suggest that if you do get it - ask for it on the side so you can put it on yourself. Otherwise, Bove's is one of the best in Burlington, IMHO!!!

That would be the India House. It's on the corner of Colchester Avenue and East Avenue (Trinity and the Medical Center are nearby). If you like Indian, a better place (so I've heard since I don't like Indian) is the Shalimar located on North Winooski Avenue near the corner of Pearl Street.

Bring your wallet - full of cash!

My personal favorite is the Vermont Pub & Brewery. The service is generally lacking but it is made up for by the food and the beer brewed on the premises.

As for Tex-Mex, try Coyote's Cafe on Church Street, just south of Main.
