On recommendation from this newgroup my wife, grandaughter and I ate two consecutive nights at the Red Iguana in Salt Lake City Iit was great as the raves that have been posted. My typed of place: no glitter, inexpexnsive (most entrees under $10), good service, best mango marguerita I ever have had, ditto the mole dishes. I knew from the first taste of the salsa that this place was a WINNER. As good as any Mexican restaurant I've eaten in and that includes Baja. It was filled up by 6.30 on Thursday and Friday nights and we didn't want to wait for a table on Saturday night and went elsewhere (our mistake.) There is also a childrens menu - about 5 items @2.99 each.

Yup...Red Iguana is all that and more. I took my first bite years ago and knew I could live in Salt Lake City (which I now do).

My only gripe is the chips...definitely not as good as most other places. The trick is to order the chile con queso which comes with freshly fried chips...then just keep asking for more of them and skip the basket that is first set out on the table.
