Forget Rules and go to Smiths of Smithfield, reviewed on my website, URL below.

Also, there's Sophies Steakhouse & Bar on the Fulham Road, which I haven't been to but which sounds promising, as well as the Arkansas Cafe in Spitalfields Market (a Google search will yield the addresses for you). Failing that, try any of the Chez Gerard chain. Or there's a place called Black & Blue in Notting Hill. You might want to look up the Quality Chop House and Butler's Wharf Chop House as well.

Avoid anything called Angus/Aberdeen Steakhouse, or with similar exterior decor.

If you want to have a meat pigfest, I suggest you go to Rodizio Rico. 111 Westbourne Grove, Bayswater London. You sit at the table and waiters constantly bring you cuts of barbequed meats, steaks, kebabs etc.. They carve at your table and will only stop serving you when you till them to.

Bon Appetito
