Graham, I think you mean the Thai Tani in Gleneagle Road, (off Streatham High Road). Come out of Streatham BR station. Turn left and go down to the lights. Turn left into Gleneagle Road and it's just across the road. I've been a number of times and have had very satisfying meals there. Great red and green curries. Their wine list is limited, but I've found the Alsacians reasonably priced and complimentary to the food. BTW My partner and I tried the Holly Restaurant in Peckham, last night. Well patronised with locals. Unfortunately, I can't say that I will rave about it. My oxtail soup with wild mushroom wasn't as rich as I'd have hoped but tasty to the end. The duck was a little over done and the vegetables over seasoned. My partner had the veggie options: mushroom pate with tropical relish to start, and the steamed cabbage leaf parcel with a creamy sauce and garnished with pesto. Both were fine dishes. All washed down with a good bottle of '97 Morgan. No dessert, but coffees. Total £49.50. Because it's not in the Westend, I hope it does well. Even with my mild disappointment, we will go back again to see if my fussiness can be sated. That's the Holly Restaurant, 38 Holly Grove, Peckham Rye, SE15. 020 7277 2928.
