I have visited one in York.

We had a three course lunch for 4.99 UKP each. There was a fair range to choose from and the poached seafood starter was excellent - a potato and leek soap also seemed to contain celariac (on the eveing menu as soap!!). Main course chicken with orange and spirng onion sauce was truley wonderful as was a cod with smoke salmon dish ordered by my guest. Bread and butter pudding was very unusual - very light and not roo sweet the cheese selection was also plesant in dull.

We all intend to visit again - soon (there are Jazz nights with 5 course meals 17 ukp).

Wine slection to limited but the Austrailian red we tried was fruity and mellow and subject to a moderate mark up.
