The London St, Brasserie in Reading is a restaurant that is, in my opinion, unmissable. It's English cuisine that's reasonably priced and mouthwatering and can be found behind the Oracle shopping centre overlooking the canal,

A meal for two cost less than £ 70 and for that price we had a starter, main course with vegetables and a sweet each plus a bottle of wine which despite being the cheapest on the menu tasted wonderful. I can recommend the pate de fois gras and chicken liver parfait, venison medallions on a bed of haggis and cress followed by chocolate tarte but frankly everything on the menu looked excellent.

In London you'd have paid at least double for food of inferior quality so catch this one before its reputation and prices soar !!!! I shall be going back to try their saddle of rabbit as soon as I'm in Reading again,
