Not very far from Aldershot, of course, where many Gurkhas finished up, then some retired and opened restaurants. Hence there are also a couple of Nepalese restaurants in North Camp. I've tried those, but not the one in Fleet even though I work in Farnborough.

Nepalese food.
There is a super Nepalese curry restaurant in Hayes Middx, 50 yards from the station called (guess) Hayes Tandoori. Marvellous food, enormouse portions, smiling service, and it's not cheap. There seems to be a Gurkha tradion in the area. If you visit nearby Stoke Poges church (plodding plowmen &c) you will find a splendid monument to the Gurkhas. No idea why, but again, why not? Splendid chaps, and very handy with their kukris when needed. Soon perhaps? ja22 Jane W. wrote: > I've got something most of you haven't got...... nyah, nyah. I've eaten the vegetarian bits of their menu. I reckon the Nepalese in Farnborough, called The Gurka Palace I think, is a lot better. Try their black lentils, yumm. OK, now I know what I'm having for dinner a week on Thursday when I'm in Farnborough again.

I have friends in Crookham Village, but we've never been to the Nepalese restaurant in Fleet; they prefer the Queen's Head in Dogmersfield.
