Thai Pavilion just a few blocks from Leicester Square is one of my favorites. Great location for dinner and a show!

May I suggest you try the London Restaurant Guide on the Web. I don't have the URL at hand, but you can search "London" and it should come up. I Lived there for six months in '93, so my info may not be too accurate. Like most BIG cities. London tends to get cheaper further from the center. There are tons of options. The pubs have great food at reasonable prices. With the Canuck buck being so weak, nothing will be too cheap. If you like Greek, try Panos on King St. in Hammersmith. The owner was great to us when we hung there in '93. One other food note, try to grab food stuff from the grocers, make your own sandwiches, etc. That's the cheapest route.

Cheers,

Tony Thibault

The food is really good and the prices are not bad ... call for a table in advance. Also, the Muffun Man (get off the tube at Kensington High Street and exit through Boots to the street and look left across the street)is the best old fashioned tea house around anywhere.
