There's loads in that area, and I've reviewed some of them on my homepage:
French - Savoir Faire on New Oxford Street - lunch these days is £6.99 for three courses and it's not bad at all Italian - Giotto - New Oxford Street. Note also, Italian Kitchen across the road British - Alfred, New Oxford Street, not so inexpensive but well worth a visit Again a bit upmarket, the Townhouse brasserie, round the corner from Savoir Faire
Pizza - Pizza Express on Coptic Street
Pubs - the Old Crown - good restaurant on second floor. Haven't tried many of the other pubs for food in the area, but there are several. Japanese - there's one on Museum Street that I haven't tried, can't remember its name, but it's hardly going to be cheap. Wagamama is on Streatham Street.
There are also dozens of cafe bars/sandwich outlets in the area, including the chains such as Costa Coffee and Pret.
Some of the independents include Giovannis, Ruskins, etc, but the quality is variable and they're not too comfortable.
Hope this helpsLondon, United Kingdom
