I'd recommend "The Royal Niam" which is on the Stratford Road near the junc of the Warwick Road.(an A-Z of Bham will come in useful). I have been there many times and never been disappointed with the quality of the food and service. It is recommended that you book on Fri and Sat. If you feel like a buffet style meal, try Shimla Pinks in Broad St, Birmingham or Station Road, Solihull. If you really want an extremely excellent curry then try the Rajnagar Indian restaurant in Lyndon Road, Birmingham/ Solihull borders. They win lots of awards.

Well, the best Balti Houses are generally in what would be termed inner city Birmingham but several of the owners now have people to watch your cars.

Pick up a copy of the Birmingham Balti Guide. it will tell you everything you need to know. You should be able to find one in the book section of WH Smith.
