Now they have a chain of restaurants, Cambridge, Oxford and Cairndow. If you venture to Dunoon, for God sake do not have a curry in Indian, unless you are a fan of Tate and Lyle's finest. Chatters restaurant is excellent, well was, the last time I was in. The Pierhouse in Port Appin expensive, a bit of a hike from Inveraray. Also head south to Ardrishaig there was a good restaurant down that direction, I have forgotten its name. They is a fantastic whisky shop in the High St in Inveraray, I can spend hours in there and the bloke that runs it is extremely friendly. Vast selection of the cratur. I would also advise a trip to Islay, easily done in a day from West Loch Tarbet and have a wander round the distilleries, Lagavulin, Laphroaig and Ardbeg are handily laid out in a row on the south coast, for your delectation. Word of warning beware of the midge.
