L'Odeon in Regent Street is superb. Central and good value for money although I have not been there since Bruno Loubet departed.

If you are well off then The Oak Room at Le Meridien (Marco Pierre White) is generally reckoned to be one of the best in the country (can't afford it myself). He is also responsible for the Grill Room at the Cafe Royal which is an attractive location.

Momo is a great night out although i would not call the food outstanding (maybe I was unlucky).

Livebait (there are two of them) offers good fish. I enjoyed our visit there.

The various Jean Christophe Novelli outlets are usually regarded as good
- I have only eaten in Novelli W8 and that was certainly acceptable.

Bank is another restaurant I have visited and enjoyed.

Can't say off hand which of these are open at the times you ask. Christmas Day availability may well be limited. Traditional fare is Turkey with stuffing, sprouts, carrots, peas, roast potatoes and other vegetables, followed by Christmas pudding. Also Brandysnaps filled with cream. Mince pies.

Hope this helps.
