I think this is widespread problem. I stayed in a hotel where a £2 charge for using the car park was added, when I had travelled by train. The hotel response was that they automatically added the charge, assuming that everyone came by car and used their car park. What a bloody cheek! Any more hotel or restaurant rip-off stories? Name and shame.
