San Antonio is full of really great restaurants! I know, I am from there. Some of my favorites are Naked Iguana (SP?) and I think it is call Rio Grande! Both of these are on the river walk. You can most likely find a good restaurant any where along the river ... just try one, I have not heard anyhting bad about any of the food places on the river! Enjoy! God bless Texas! Rosalind

I'm not a great fan of Mexican food, but if I were you I wouldn't miss La Fogata. It will require a cab if you don't have a car, because it's in the northwest part of the city on Vance Jackson, I believe is the street. Enormous choice of entrees, you can eat outdoors or in, there are several rooms to choose from, and the service is great also.

My daughter and her friends like Mi Tierra, which is at El Marcador, the Mexican marketplace.

I love San Antonio! Have a great time.

Here is one that just a short way from the River Walk. The restaurant is Pablano's, it's on North St Mary's St. close to downtown. This is Mexican, but not Tex/Mex, it is in the style of the Mexican interior and quite elegant. Excellent food and presented like a picture. I was there in November and had a great time.
