Another interesting spot is the restaurant at the Limpia Hotel in Ft. Davis. You'll have to buy a membership if you want to drink adult beverages. I've also enjoyed the food at the Indian Lodge Restaurant (Ft. Davis Mtns. State Park). I haven't been there is a few years, so I don't know what the menu looks like these days. Then - there used to be Chicken Charlie's in Balmorhea, but it went up in smoke a few years ago. RIP. While you're at the Park, you might want to check out the La Kiva restaurant and bar at the Big Bend Trailer Park (between Terlingua and Lajitas). Good steaks - assuming the restaurant is still open.
