Plano is a suburb/bedroom community north of Dallas. All of the major rest- aurant chains are represented. The "strips" are located along Central/75 with 15th street having the highest density. Preston Rd. and Park is also highly developed. Plano is a "grid" so navigation is painless.

A few off the beaten path choices:

Cafe Au Lait: California/Vietnamese/French Custer @ Spring Creek SE corner
            next to Brookshire's.
Slider and Blues: Sports Bar Coit @ Parker behind Blockbuster. Large
                  selection of brews.
Nakamoto: Japanese/Sushi Parker NW corner strip mall northside behind
Cavender's Boot City, its Texas ;).

Driving into Dallas proper only takes 1/2 hour from Plano via Central or the North Dallas Tollway.
