To all: I have got to put in a plug for a place that I have gotten more good meals at than any other here in Austin. Try the Texicalli Grille at 534 E. Oltorf Street. The place is attracts me back an average of 2-3 times a week. Great food, friendly help, and the most interesting indoor decor I have found. They also have an acoustic "happy hour" party each friday after work. No booze, but 1/2 price malts. Kids are welcome,too. Anyhow, if you need a dish to start out with, try the "Texicalli" sandwich or the "That Salad". Lunches are usually pretty full, so I try to get there early (they open at 11 AM).
