I live down the road from this place. Since I've only seen positive comments about it, I'd like to share my thoughts. Maudie's sucks.

Went there once, got the worst nachos I've ever paid $6.50 for.

Went there again, got carne guisada which tasted like what Tres Amigos' carne guisada would taste like if they served it. There's more flavor in Taco Bell's ground "beef."

Oh, and the atmosphere -- the place is swell if you like being crammed into a little tiny room with a bunch of loud drunken frat boys and even louder drunker arguing rich people.

Makes me wonder if it's the same Maudie's. I love their Rockin' Ruthann special; chicken burritos covered in their tex-mex chili sauce. One of my favorite Tex-Mex dishes in town. Also, the atmosphere was quiet, but I go mainly at lunch, and I've never been on a weekend dinner.
