Yes, definitely. Regardless of whether you believe that a particular mom and pop restaurant does Tex-Mex, interior Mex or whatever right, we in Austin have the luxury of having more choices than any other city in Texas except for maybe San Antonio. Give 'em all a shot. Just cruise around south of the river or east of 35, and I'll guarantee you'll find dozens of candidates for an interesting visit. For another wonderful tex-mex experience in the heights try Spanish Flower on Main ST. maddie
Remember that all the NINFA's (except the original on Navigationare franchises). Go the original and order the Mixed Grill, stuffed Jalepanos, and off-the-menu bean soup (one pot made a day, when its gone, its, gone) On another note, there's a great little Cuban restaurant on North Main (just south of the North Loop) called La Tasca, open Weds-Sat'y only. Very good tamales! fcs
