The Oasis really isn't very good and is very overpriced. It does have a ni= ce view, though.

I've heard that the Iguana Grill also out at the Lake, has a great view and=
the food is supposed to be pretty good too.

As for Tex-Mex, for a =22down home=22 experience, try Polvos on S. 1st. It= 's about 1 mile south of Town Lake. Guero's on S. Congress is pretty good = also, though I'm not crazy about everything there. If you're downtown at l= unch, try the Enchiladas de Michoacan at Las Manitas (only open breakfast a= nd lunch). Las Manitas is located at 2nd & Congress.

For seafood, I like the Shoreline Grill on Town Lake (they have a few seafo= od items) and also City Grill on 4th Street. There is also the Boiling Pot = on 6th street which is pretty fun. Those are the only places I can think of=
 close to Town Lake.
