Wow, been awhile since I've been to No-Name out in Pasadena. Went there last Friday, damn, forgot just how good it was. If you're in the area, suggest you give it a shot, don't think you can beat the brisket. At least, I haven't found anything that beats it and I've been to a lot of joints in the area.

Many people responded to my query a few months ago about good Q in Houston. The spouse and I have tried everywhere from William's Smokehouse to Otto's. I can say without a doubt (INMHO) that Luling City Market on Richmond (just off 610) serves some of the best restaurant BBQ I have had anywhere, including Lockhart, Elgin etc. The brisket is smoky tender and with good bark. The ribs are tender, meaty and have just the right amount of smoke. Hell I haven't found anything wrong with their fare whatsoever. I must say though that my (and friends) home cooked/smoked brisket, butt and sausage beat all. If anyone has other suggestions please respond. MDLS "Q"...you just gotta love it.
I'm with you on Luling City. It's great cue. I like the ribs at Pizzatola's on Shepherd too.
