Not too long ago there was a thread posted on Cajun Food and Hoody's was mentioned as an authentic Cajun Place: Here's My 2 cents worth. I went to college at Louisiana State University and got addicted to Shrimp Po'Boys. I have been craving one for a year now, and not finding a satisfactory one. Today I went to Hoody's (4:00 PM) and ordered a Shrimp Po'Boy Dressed No Tomatoes. It was one of the best I have ever had. The breading on the shrimp was spicy , but not too much. The shrimp were large and juicy and Not overcooked! The bread was perfect not too crusty or too soft. The atmosphere was even very Louisiana, laid back, friendly, and filled with music. My only quibble is minor. I got used to paying around 4 dollars for a pretty good sandwich in Baton Rouge, and this one cost me eight. (Blame it on having to ship the shrimp. Try them out and tell them you saw it here. They were thrilled when I told them that was where I got the recommendation. Oh yeah, Hoody's is on Hwy. 71 just past the Oak Hill split on the right (By an exxon station).
