Tried it yesterday evening.

The steak was yummy. Flavorful, tender. The potatoes were truly bigass and had a nice taste to them, couldn't quite place the cooking oil, but it was different. Nice, either way. Service was friendly and prompt. The weather was great so we enjoyed eating outside on the picnic tables, hobnobbing with the pigeons, and all that. Was amused by the "outhouse" approach to the concept of the Restrooom.

The food was swell, and while they steaks weren't "literally floating," they were in fact playfully drenched in that oil-and-lemon-juice stuff, but that was yummy, too.

But . . . the PRICES . . . good god! That place is a lot more expensive than it looks! Also, the sodas came in cans >>sigh<<. Those two downsides will keep Hoffbrau on the "maybe once a year" list.
