I've come to depend upon the gastronomes of austin.food to keep me well informed of the latest and greatest in Austin dining experiences. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled across what could be one of Austin's best restaurants with absolutely no assistance from austin.food. Come on, people, get with the program! Si Bon has taken up residence in the former South Lamar location of Skyline Grill. If my mussel appetizer, cherry and apricot glazed duck entree and souffle dessert are typical of the rest of the menu, Austin has another restaurant to be mentioned in sentences which use the names Zoot's, Jeffrey's, Castle Hill and Tocai. Entrees are $14-18, with an additional $3(!) charge per side dish (creeping Sullivan's-ism?). Wine list is adequate, with many selections available by the glass.
