Houston has thousands of great restaurants. For seafood, try Goode Company Seafood, on Kirby. Also, Pappadeaux (multiple locations) is good for cajun seafood. A few other local favorites are: Ruggles Grill (on lower Westheimer, near downtown) for Southwestern; Ninfa's (multiple locations, but the best is the original location, on Navigation, downtown) for Tex-Mex; Pappasito's (multiple locations) for Tex-Mex; Goode Company Barbeque (one on Kirby and one on I-10 West); Carrabba's (multiple locations) for Italian; Kim Son (one downtown and one on Westheimer) for Vietnamese.
