Here's my rather biased view of a few Chinese restaurant's in north Austin that I have visited: 1. P.F. Changs (upscale & kinda expensive for a Chinese joint, but the food is excellent - I recommend the orange peel shrimp) 2. Suzies (average setting, but the food is pretty good -- the jalapeno chicken & sesame chicken are especially good) 3. Chinatown (has a decent view & the food is pretty good) 4. Tien Hong (the truck stop of chinese places -- the food is only C+, and the service is C-, IMHO only) -John Dodson Lawrence P. wrote: > In article , "[email removed]" > Someone wrote: > > > Visiting town - recomendations > > for a good Chinese restaurant in the 183/ > > Aboretum area? > > > Tien Hong (Burnet & Ohlen) isn't too far away, and one of the better > Chinese places in North Austin. I think SeaDragon is better than any of the Restaurant that you mentioned in a few ways: (1). The price is reasonable. (2). Casual and friendly atmosphere. (3). Serving the best Seafood menu in Austin( I mean fresh): (a). Steam Tilapia. (b). Lobster in Peppercorn sauce or suace of your choice. (c). Basil Clam. (d). Blue Crab in the sauce of your choice. (e). Mixed seafood in Hot& sour soup. Their menu have plenty of selection beside the specialties above. Why don't your give it a try and visit SeaDragon at 8776B Research Blvd, Austin. temp wrote: > Here's my rather biased view of a few Chinese restaurant's in north Austin > that I have visited: > > 1. I know we have been on this topic several times,
but for great Chinese-American cuisine, I still
like Wan-Fu on Oltorf above all others. Their
garlic chicken is very happening.
