It is near where I live and has great interior Mexican food. I think the breakfast tacos are delicious and I especially liked the papa y queso blanco very much. I generally get the daily special. I recommend the chili rellenos and also I had some very tasty pork dish, whose name I don't recall right now. My companion really liked the enchilada plate. Try it soon, but remember it is not open in the evening except on Friday. Ron Seeliger

I was going to try -- I think it was desebrada?-- listed as a shreded beef dish. But when the owner/manager/chef/server mentioned having chiles rellenos en nogada (complete with pomegranate seeds) I said "I'll have that". What a wonderful, complex blend of flavors and textures! My wife had one of those "very tasty pork dish[es], whose name I don't recall right now". They had a (pork) pastor dish, a (beef) barbacoa dish, conchinita pibil, and a few things totally unfamiliar to us. This same owner/manager/whatever offered us bite-sized taste samples of some of the things we were curious about (apparently having some dishes already prepared, being stew-like). There was a very good spicy chicken dish with shreded chicken sauteed with Roma tomatoes and onions and chipotles that we might try on the next visit. This was called by a name that was something like "Tangy" -- and it was. They also had two great salsas as appetizer: one made with fresh roasted Romas, onions, peppers & spices, and the other made from about 5 different kinds of chiles pureed into a smooth salsa. Good food, but while we were there (admittedly early for a Fri evening meal out), there was only one other patron, a solitary woman also enjoying the chile relleno en nogada. Two meals and one beer (imported) right at $20. A bargain! S.
