Worth is another, although I've not been there for a few years ... and wasn't greatly impressed with it then ... Baker's Ribs with several locations in Dallas is probably the best in town now ... If you're coming to Texas for Really Great bbq, you've got to drive further South to Austin ... there's been a family feud that split the great bbq place in Lockhart ... my guess is the two of 'em are fighting for business ... with some good prices. Joe Cotten in Robstown, just west of Corpus Christi, is one of the best in the nation, although, being behind the cactus curtain, he's seldom mentioned. Cotten's has an "all you can eat" policy ... if you're still hungry when you finish the first plate, the waiters will bring you seconds. Texas Monthly magazine had an issue in the past year devoted solely to bbq ... you might try their web-site or a used book store for a copy. If sausage is on your agenda, Kuby's near SMU in Dallas, take the Lover's Lane exit from US 75, Central Expressway and go West to Snider Plaza ... is still turning out a consistent, great variety of sausages at great prices.

Go down to the small city of Driftwood, just outside of Austin, and visit Salt Lick BBQ. There is none finer, although Black's and Kreuz's in Lockhart come close. Salt Lick has a web site with directions - http://www.saltlickbbq.com . Enjoy.
