I went ahead and tried it, and was /very/ impressed... When my date and I exausted our packets of Equal, no sooner was there a waiter there to refill it. Now don't get me wrong, I dont judge a resturant by the service alone...the food was excellent, and they have some very nice wines. This one definatley makes it on my list. Anyone have any other reccomendations as to resturants like this? Russell

Basil's is tops. Their service is good. There food is really good. The prices are not bad for what you get. I would eat there at the slightest provocation Bill Russell B. wrote: > Anyone here tried Basil's on 10th and Lamar? Haven't tried Basil's yet (it's on my list), but Vespaio was AMAZING. Had to go at 5:30 just to get a table, but it would have been worth waiting an hour for (like we saw all the people doing after we arrived.) My next few special occasions will be spent there. (Mezza-who??) Margaret
