While visiting the Jazz festival in Montreux Switzerland we had a chance to sample some great Swiss food at the Cafe Restaurant des Vignerons on Rue Industrielle (old city) in Montreux. This is a family run operation. Michel Repond, the chef, makes delicious Swiss specialties from fondue to fondue Bacchus (thinly sliced meat cooked in a bouillion). Monique Repond (his wife) speaks fluent English and gives everyone a warm greeting. It is about 5 minutes from downtown Montreux and well worth the walk. Probably the best cheese fondue I have eaten.
