Clark. For really upscale (as in stratosphere) vegetarian try Charlie Trotter's. They have an all veggie tasting menu and it is considered one of the best restaurants in Chicago. Make reservations many weeks in advance. They used to offer tables in the kitchen which is a pretty interesting experience but I don't know if they still do. Trotter is one of 5 James Beard Society nominees for best Chef in America this year. The restaurant is conveniently located just west of Lincoln Park on Armitage. Tuttoposto has a lot of veggie dishes and is just outside of the loop in the River North area. The restaurant specializes in food of the Meditteranean. My last dinner there was fairly ho hum but my companions ordered some great dishes. The restaurant gets consistently good reviews. Kate
