Help: new neighborhood -- 3rd and Robertson

Regarding Japanese food near 3rd and Robertson, I also live nearby and have a few suggestions:

Matsuhisa
Yes, it's very expensive, but it is really the best. Their specialty is the Peruvian Japanese ippin ryori, but the sushi is also wonderful. It's on La Cienega between Wilshire and Burton Way.

Hirozen
8385 Beverly Blvd.
(213) 653-0470
Excellent food. They specialize in ippin ryori (small plates) which come on a special menu which changes daily. There are usually about 50 selections. They also have fabulous sushi at about half the price of Matsuhisa, where the owner used to work.

Chaco
340 N. Camden Drive
Beverly Hills
(310) 247-1829
My favorite place to have lunch in Beverly Hills. They have marvelous bento boxes for $8 to $10 that would cost you $35 anywhere else in town. The sashimi bento comes with sashimi, a piece of grilled fish, yakitori, and 4-6 other things.

Sushi Roku
This is a very new place at the Beverly Connection, across from Mishima on 3rd. It's way "Hollywood"almost as expensive as Matsuhisa and I am very unimpressed. Go to Matsuhisa or Hirozen for better versions of the same thing.

Sushi Sushi
This is a tiny sushi place on South Beverly Drive, near Gregory. They do lovely sushi though, more in the Korean style, meaning big slices, and bolder flavors. I like it a lot.
