I have just seen a new and most excellent guide to restaurants in Bangkok. It is called 'Try It Bangkok Dining' (ISBN - 974-01-1951-4). With over 500 restaurants listed, it is the most comprehensive local guide I have seen. The restaurants listed are rated by the general public, so the reader can tell which venues are popular and which are not. A short editorial is written about each restaurant with comments included from the reviewers. I found the book to be fascinating and very refreshing. There is also a web site called www.tryitasia.com where the information is available online. As far as I can see, the information is available in its full form; a truely valuable service. There is a powerful search which allows site visitors to locate restaurants by cuisine, location, price, proximity to public transport, or certain hotels, and many more features.
