Hilton Head suggestions

I was just in Hilton Head this past weekend attending a tennis clinic. If this is your first trip to Hilton Head, you're in for a treat!

I would recommend the Crazy Crab in Harbourtown. My family makes a point of having lunch there every time we go to Hilton Head. I ate at the Old Oyster Factory this past weekend and it was quite good. Both places are kid friendly.

Lunch at Cafe Europa at the base of the lighthouse in Harbourtown is also highly recommended.

Uh, the Crazy Crab burnt down and is no longer!

The Crazy Crab outside of Harbourtown (Sea Pines) did burn down.

The Crazy Crab in Harbourtown didn't burn down. I saw it with my own eyes this weekend.

I missed the original post, but would be happy to make HHI suggestions. Forget the Cracker Barrel (no offense to others who enjoy it), but try some truly local establishments instead. I'd recommend the Old Oyster Factory, which is actually just off the island. Avoid the Huge Seafood Company.

I second the recommendation for the Old Oyster Factory.

Excellent food, nice view out onto the waterway. I especially liked the sampler Oyster appetizer...
